Announcing the 2026 Word & Image project participants

We are pleased to announce the 12 writers and 12 artists who will participate in the
2026 Word & Image project!

In June, the selected writers and artists will be paired at random to respond to and create new ekphrastic work over the Summer as a result of their creative conversation between art and writing.

Save the Date for the Word & Image Gallery Opening Reception, which will be held on Saturday, November 7th from 3-5pm. The culmination of ekphrastic art & writing will be on display with archival quality broadsides and original art and a full-color exhibition booklet in the HCA Gallery during the month of November.
