Make handmade paper with Jenn on September 20th

$95.00

September 20

1:00pm-4:00pm

Have you ever wanted to learn the basics of making paper for use in book arts, printmaking, mixed media work, or simply to frame and enjoy?

This workshop will teach you how to use halfstuff paper fibers to create paper made from natural fibers like cotton. You will also use recycled papers, and a locally sourced harvested plant fiber to create unique papers from repurposed materials. You will make both smooth and textured papers, learning how to use additives like sizing and formation aid to strengthen and increase the flexibility of your paper. You’ll leave the workshop with damp papers to dry at home. This class is structured for beginners and anyone needing a refresher on how to process fibers with a blender to make paper pulp.
