Open to ages 12+ (under 16 must be accompanied by an adult)
Materials and firings included
Scholarships available: https://www.hoffmanarts.org/scholarships
Join us in the Hoffman Clay Studio for a relaxed fun session creating seasonal ornaments. Whether in celebration of a winter holiday or to recognize an event, we’ll have a range of shapes and themes on offer. Students will learn to cut shapes from slabs of clay, customize them with insizing and patterns, and choose underglaze colors.
About the instructor: Laura Bailey is a lapsed economist whose move to Manzanita two decades ago opened up her second career (writing) and introduced her to the sublime joy of getting messy with clay. When she’s not messing around in her garden, Laura volunteers at the Hoffman Center, works on disaster preparedness for the EVCNB, and chairs the Manzanita July 4th Parade Committee.
